Accepting these terms

By creating a Healthyish account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 18 years old.

Healthyish is not medical advice

Healthyish provides general nutrition information and educational context. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not tell you your personal risk of any condition. Scores compare your logged eating patterns to published population-level reference points from bodies such as the WHO and USDA — nothing more.

Calorie, macro and portion figures estimated from photos are approximate and can be wrong. Do not rely on the app for medical, clinical or dietary treatment decisions. Always talk to a physician or registered dietitian about a health concern, before changing your diet if you are pregnant, managing a condition such as diabetes or heart disease, or taking medication. Call your local emergency number in an emergency.

If you are struggling with disordered eating, calorie tracking can be harmful. In the US, the National Alliance for Eating Disorders helpline is 1-866-662-1235.

Your account

Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account. Do not upload content you have no right to upload, and do not attempt to break, scrape or overload the service.

Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the price shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same interval and price until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the profile screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• If a free trial is offered, we tell you its length and price before you start it, and it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Statutory refund and cancellation rights, including under California's automatic renewal law, are not affected.

Group calls and community features

Group calls are general nutrition education for a group audience, not personal dietary counselling and not a therapeutic relationship. Do not share information about others that you are not entitled to share.

1:1 coaching

Coaching is general nutrition and habit education delivered by non-clinical coaches. Coaches are not physicians or licensed dietitians; they do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical nutrition therapy, and coaching never creates a clinician–patient relationship. We do not guarantee weight loss, improved lab results, or any specific health outcome. The full scope, scheduling, and refund rules are in the Coaching Terms.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Healthyish to give or receive medical, clinical or therapeutic advice.
• Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that contains another person's health or personal information without their consent.
• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or use the service or its outputs to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
• Do not attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, authentication, or the security of the service; one account per person.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photos and logs. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to operate the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Our content and trademarks

The app, its design, code, scoring logic, written guidance and the Healthyish name and logo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use. Names and logos of third-party organisations shown in the app (for example WHO, USDA, IARC) identify the published sources we reference; they do not imply any endorsement, affiliation or review by those organisations.

AI outputs and third-party services

Meal analysis is produced by an AI model and is an estimate that can be wrong. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or suitability of any figure, score or suggestion. We rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments and AI processing; their outages or errors are outside our control. See the Medical & AI Disclaimer.

Availability and changes

We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms — material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You can stop using Healthyish and delete your account at any time from the profile screen. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, creates legal risk, or is used fraudulently. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licence, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and dispute resolution — do.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healthyish is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, or for any decision you make based on information in the app. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

We would rather fix things directly: email support@healthyish.app and we will try to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days. If that fails, you and we agree that disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, on an individual basis only — no class actions and no jury trial — except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing us with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out". This clause does not apply where prohibited by the law of your country of residence.

General

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor in a merger or acquisition. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Coaching Terms and the Medical & AI Disclaimer are the entire agreement between us.
